Created by trade associations Agoria and Sirris through the Made Different project and set to expand across Europe thanks to a grant from the European Commission, this award is tremendously valuable in reinforcing that 3D printing/Additive Manufacturing is a crucial component in the Factory of the Future, and that Materialise is at the forefront of technological advancement in Europe and beyond.

In a world without internet or smartphones, a young Wilfried Vancraen recognized the extraordinary potential of a new technology he had just seen at a research facility in Germany: 3D Printing. He boldly set out to explore its full potential, creating his own company Materialise. The rest is history.
