How cranio-maxillofacial implants benefit from 3D Printing
Cranio-Maxillofacial (CMF) surgery demands careful planning and accuracy. Materialise harnesses the power of the latest 3D technologies to create guides that ensure your pre-operative planning is effectively implemented.
Our team of highly qualified biomedical engineers has been providing solutions to facilitate CMF surgeries for over a decade, utilizing 3D technology and building up experience that leads to high-quality, consistent products that you can rely on.
Our fully guided system for bone part repositioning and fixation is intended for:
- Orthognathic surgery
- Trauma reconstruction
- Reconstructive surgery
You can count on the effective, reliable support of our clinical engineers:
- Prior to scanning your patient
- During an interactive online planning session
- Taking into account your specific preferences
The implant itself provides an optimal cranial structure for the patient, and notably resists the mechanical forces that a normal life involves.
Porous Titanium Implants for Reconstruction and Facial Augmentation
This comprehensive solution for craniofacial reconstructions and augmentations can be adapted to every clinical situation for a predictable surgical outcome, taking into account the patient’s anatomy.
"Doing a BiMax case is quite challenging and can easily take up to 2 hours in the operating room. With the SynpliciTi system, I can reduce that time to around 70 minutes, which is not only better for the patient, but also for me and the hospital."
Nick Rutherford, Melbourne, Australia
Materialise DEOS: Patient-Specific Maxillofacial Distractor and Guides
Materialise DEOS is the only patient-specific solution on the market for multi-tissue reconstruction by distraction. The stability of the implant is ensured by the osteosynthesis screws provided. The accurate positioning of the plates is guaranteed by positioning guides, which also indicate the osteotomy sites. With Materialise DEOS you can carry out a reconstruction based on a mirroring of the healthy side and/or any other exact reconstruction of the chin region.
Our CMF guides and implants are available through Materialise France and are distributed by our partner DePuy Synthes, depending on your region, under the TRUMATCH® brand name.
