Application Engineers play a crucial role at Materialise in delivering state-of-the-art 3D printing software solutions to our customers. They are the bridge between customers, engineers and sales – and the beating heart of our company.

What does a day in the life of an Application Engineer look like?
Application Engineers gather input from both customers and the sales teams and use it to make our products the best they can be. They also provide the customer with rock-solid support and help them out by testing applications, responding to customer feedback, performing installations, maintenance and giving sales presentations and demonstrations.
At Materialise, we work with two very different kinds of Application Engineers. There are the Sales Application Engineers, who typically work closely with our customers to figure out their needs. And then there are our Product Application Engineers, who know our products inside out and shape their development. We hire Application Engineers at both our Medical department and Software department – meaning there’s a wide variety of products to work on!
