As a Digital Product manager, you will be part of a small team that is working on digital solutions for Eyewear clients. Eyewear is a department of Materialise, in which we are creating frames for glasses that reflect the clients brand identity and meets their quality goals. This requires a close collaboration that puts the client’s needs first. In this role you are not only co-creating designs but also scaling up production.
Responsibilities
- Digital Onboarding
- Onboarding of frame designs onto digital platforms in cooperation with designers and project engineer but owning the whole track.
- The Eyewear digital product team converts digital frame designs from designer to a file that can be used on our different digital applications for Eyewear.
- It concerns Parametrization of files to make ready to fit in our client facing digital applications.
- Product Management
- Owner of the digital onboarding process.
- Expert user and owner/developer of the onboarding toolkit.
- Execution of validation tracks for new algorithms and features coming from our central research team.
- Building proof of concepts for future SW features.
- Technical Support
- 2nd line technical support for instore eyewear digital applications
Requirements
- This job requires someone with at least some technical background in computer science, as well as product design. You can be a junior profile as much of tools to be used are custom, developed in-house.
- Either an engineering degree with a feeling for product design, or a product development degree with at least Python knowledge.
- You have basic design skills and feeling with 3d design in general.
- You have experience with Rhino and Grasshopper.
- Understanding of machine learning is a plus (as a user, not developer of the algos)
