If you are passionate about knowing that what you do is important and that what you create matters then maybe, we have the right job for you.
Value is not just an empty word to us here at Materialise – it means developing software solutions to help people walk, run and jump again. It means engineering to help customers create better products and add more functionality.
Materialise Medical has pioneered many leading medical applications of 3D Printing and enables researchers, engineers, and clinicians to revolutionize innovative patient-specific treatment that helps improve and save lives.
There are several software applications where our Software Engineers can contribute to within our medical business unit.
E.g
M3S is a system for the development and production of personalized medical devices.
Working with our software is divided into 3 main stages:
- Examination - doctors perform computed tomography to examine the condition of the patient's joint and to study the features of their physique.
- The development of the model - this can involve up to 10 specialists, each of whom performs their specialty task and transfers the result to another specialist. This simplifies and speeds up very complicated work.
- Production management - when the final version of the device is ready, software specialists start the process of 3D printing and verify if the finished products are built without defects.
M3S is the software backbone for this entire process. It`s a rather complex and unique production system, and it allows to make designs for each patient specific implant, guide and so on (for each concrete user).
