The "MAKING A DIFFERENCE / A DIFFERENCE IN MAKING" exhibition opened to the public on Friday, April 24th at the BOZAR Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels. We caught up with some of the minds behind the show, Materialise CEO Fried Vancraen and exhibition curator Marta Malé-Alemany to get their insight on what the exhibition is all about.

The world’s leading thinkers and doers in the world of 3D Printing came together for the Materialise World Conference at the Square in Brussels last Thursday and Friday. From industrial, to biomedical, to clinical, to consumer applications, over 1,000 novices and experts gathered to exchange their work, ideas and knowledge about software, engineering, design, and more.
For the second time, Belgium 3D printing powerhouse Materialise and multi-award winning fashion designer Melinda Looi have teamed up to launch yet another artistic and technological breath-taking collection entitled “GEMS OF THE OCEAN” at Meckler Media’s 3D Print Week, New York.
Run for Benin is a yearly Materialise event to collect money for Benin, a country in West Africa. The run is hosted annually at Materialise HQ, but this year Materialise Malaysia also took part in hosting a run to help with the fundraising.
A few (lucky) members from Materialise’s software team went to São Paulo from March 9-10! And it wasn’t because they were a few months late getting over for the World Cup or felt an incredible urge to Samba; instead, they went to the largest 3D printing event in South America: Inside 3D Printing in Brazil.
