Description of the different steps
- Duplicate parts by clicking the ‘Duplicate’ icon under the ‘Basic Flow’ tab.
- Enter the number of copies you would like to create.
- Determine the arrangement of your copies.
- Automatically place parts by clicking the ‘Automatic Placement’ icon under the ‘Basic Flow’ tab.
- Determine the distance between parts and the platform.
- Choose ‘Geometry’ or ‘Bounding Box’ nesting. Bounding Box nests quicker and Geometry nests more densely.
- Choose the Placement Solution:
- ‘First Possible Solution’ nests the parts in the first available placement.
- ‘Minimal Surface Area’ minimizes the total loading area.
- ‘Minimal X Dimension’ and ‘Minimal Y Dimension’ minimize the X or Y dimension of the loading area.
- Platform Center nests the parts around the platform center.
- Translate parts by clicking the ‘Translate’ icon under the ‘Basic Flow’ tab.
- Determine a specific location or relative distance from the current position.
- Click and drag the part to move the part in real time along a specific axis or within a plane. You can set a specific interval value for real-time translation by checking ‘Enable Snapping’.
- Rotate parts by clicking the ‘Rotate’ icon under the ‘Basic Flow’ tab.
- Define the desired rotation angles along the axes. Snapping is also available for rotation.
- You can keep the minimum Z position of the part after rotating by checking ‘Keep Original Z Position’.
- Use additional placement tools by clicking the ‘Bottom/Top Plane’ or ‘Pick and Place Parts’ icons under the ‘Basic Flow’ tab.
- Bottom/Top Plane is used to place a plane on top or underneath, as well as parallel to, the platform.
- Pick and Place Parts enables easy translation or rotation of parts.
- Compensate for over-curing by modifying the part in Z direction. Do so by clicking the ‘Z Compensate’ icon under the Basic Flow tab and indicating the desired value.
