All about labelling tools in Materialise Magics
Learn how to use the labelling tools in Magics in this tutorial. These tools allow you to identify parts by name and apply serial numbers on a series of parts, amongst other things.

Description of the different steps
- Add labels to individual parts: Select your part, go to the Tools ribbon, and choose Label from the Label button.
- Text labels: Choose the label shape (rectangular or circular), and enter the label content. When the label is final, click on Apply as STL.
- Drawings: Import the drawing/logo, scale and move as desired, Apply as STL.
- Projection: Enter the label content, move as desired, Apply as STL.
- Data matrix: Choose the matrix size, create a placeholder for the matrix, enter the label content, Apply as STL.
- Mass-label a series of parts: Select your part, go to the Tools ribbon, and choose Mass Label from the Label button.
- Counter option: Choose the label shape (rectangular or circular), and enter the label content. Add the counter to the label content, define the first number (Start) and increments (Step) for the counter. If desired, re-arrange the Array placement, and Apply as STL.
- CSV option: Choose the label shape (rectangular or circular), and upload a CSV file. Enter label content, and add CSV fields. If desired, re-arrange array placement, and Apply as STL.
- Add label tags: Select your part, go to the Tools ribbon, and choose Label Tags from the Label button.
- Choose the label tag type, and click on the part.
- If desired, change the Connector length and Connector thickness.
- If desired, add a Break off point, rotate structure, or re-orientate the connector to lie horizontal to the build plate.
- Finalize by clicking on Apply.
